CEMENTING PLUG

DC BIT COMPATIBLE
It is known that most elastomers and metals are detrimental to drilling with PDC bits due to the cutting nature of the PDC bit and the high heat generated. All materials of the KWIK DRILL PLUG are completely compatible and drillable with PDC and Cone bits. 

NON-ROTATING PROPERTY
The plug is composed of specially formulated materials which both drills and jets easily without any mechanical assistance. In addition, when pressuring the plug, or bit weight is applied, the Elastomer Matrix is moved down the core, increasing the friction grip to the casing. This helps hold the plug in place and further prevents rotation. 

SUPERIOR FLUID SEPARATION AND WIPING
Composition and shape of this plug have been based upon the latest pipeline pig technology.... resulting in extremely efficient wiping and separation of fluids. 

COMPATIBLE WITH ALL STANDARD FLOAT EQUIPMENT
Because the non-rotate restriction features of the plug are not mechanically engaged by cooperation with a float collar, it can be used with ANY STANDARD float collar or shoe.

A. Unique Sealing and Rotation Restriction Features:
Pressure or bit weight pushes the Elastomer Matrix down the angulated core. This causes the Elastomer to packoff against the I.D. of the casing, which results in a tight friction grip to the casing thus greatly restricting rotation. The compacted Elastomer Matrix enhances its high pressure sealing ability.

B. Material Composition:
The core is made from a polymer material, which has high strength and heat resistance. It drills extremely well by breaking into fine chips with both a PDC and Cone bit. The core is offered in two types, one for temperature up to 325 F and an ultra high temperature core for 450 F.
The specially formulated, new generation Elastomer Matrix contains materials which enhance the drill properties of the Matrix without a reduction in the wear resistance of the elastomer. The Elastomer Matrix has a temperature rating of 450 F., excellent sealing and high friction grip properties.
Most important, drilling test have shown that the plug breaks into small pieces before torque forces can cause the plug to rotate even without the assistance of pressure or bit weight. 

C. Bottom Plug Rupture Disc:
The bottom plug is supplied with a phenolic rupture disc that will rupture at about 250 psi. Other rupture pressure discs supplied upon request.

D. Bit Compatibility:
It is drillable with both a Cone and PDC bits. 

E. Tapered String Plugs;
Both a top and bottom tapered string plug is offered. This is not a modification of a regular plug but a specifically designed plug. 

F. 24 Hour Temperature Rating:
Standard Core: 325 F bottom hole static temperature.

High Temp Core: 450 F bottom hole static temperature.
