OVER-THE-COLLAR  'KWIK KOUPLER'

USE:
When casing or tubing is being run, it is sometimes necessary to rapidly connect surface pumping equipment for circulation purposes. This connection must be completed quickly and Safely. The LaFleur Petroleum Services (LPS) OVER THE COLLAR KWIK KOUPLER (OTCKK) accomplishes that task.

FUNCTION:
The OTCKK employs a patented seal arrangement developed by LaFleur Petroleum Services.  The proprietary seal utilizes a pressure-energized PACKOFF to seal around the OD of the casing or tubing collar.  The OTCKK is retained on the collar by Locking Lugs "DOGS" that move under the collar by a DRIVING NUT that is only required to be "hand tight" to hold at full working and test pressures.

BENEFITS:
1.  Once the OTCKK slips over the collar, it takes approximately 10 seconds to lock into place in a safe manner.
2.  Without mechanical assistance from any source, a special HIGH LPS packing assembly forms a seal as the collar slips into the OTCKK.
3.  There are no threaded connections between the OTCKK and the collar.  Therefore, thread leaks and pin-box failures are eliminated.
4.  The OTCKK will fit any API standard collar and most proprietary collars with a shoulder.  Upon request, a special OTCKK can be designed to fit any collar.
5.  When time is critical for circulation, the OTCKK helps prevent the casing from sticking because the OTCKK aids in alignment.
6.  Access to the packing element is made easy even with the OTCKK connected to the cementing head.
